Open calls for season 7 of AMERICAN IDOL ended with the Philadelphia auditions on Aug. 27/07. Series premiered January 15/08..VPTV expects casting details for those wanting to be on AMERICAN IDOL 8 to be released at the end of the current season in May, with auditions being held nation-wide in July-August.
