MAKING THE BAND

Season 4 of P. Diddy's MAKING THE BAND is kind of like Cher's farewell tour - never ending. The first iteration ran in the fall of 2007 and ended with the formation of new boy band Day26. MTB4's second season (Day26 sharing the mandatory loft living space with girl group Danity Kane, winners of MTB3, as the 2 bands worked to complete their new albums) premiered January 28/08 on MTV and wrapped March 17th. MAKING THE BAND 5 (or is this MTB4/3?) will be a reality show documenting the tour that Diddy is launching in May with Danity Kane, Day26 and solo act Donnie Klang.

Will there ever again be a viewer participation version of MAKING THE BAND? VPTV will update this post when new information becomes available, but for now it doesn't look good. Mr. Diddy said he's not interested in doing another one, and this long goodbye seems to confirm that. .
